Cheekyheads

The basic objective of the Cheekyheads project, within the European Erasmus+ programme, is to support the development of reading skills and promote reading among primary school children through the use of an application developed since 2022 by the Hungarian entity 6water Club Nonprofit Kft in collaboration with the Sustainable Art Association.

With this application, children will be able to choose from a special electronic library of reading material according to their individual interests and needs. Each story is made up of 5 episodes of equal length, illustrated with a cover. Children prefer to use digital tools, as they are exposed to texts in a more varied, dynamic and interactive way than in books, which inspires them. The regular use of the e-library and the application will develop the digital literacy of the students, as well as the support of their parents and siblings, making reading and interpreting together a family event, which responds to an indirect objective. Reading and discussion together become a source of family enjoyment, with children and parents spending quality time together. This will help organize children's existing knowledge and shape their view of the surrounding world, increasing their general knowledge and human relationship skills. Such knowledge supports the formation and development of a European identity.
