BCN OCELLS

The [BCN OCELLS] project is an artistic initiative of the Sustainable Art Association that aims to raise awareness and educate society about the importance of biodiversity and birdlife conservation in cities, as well as to show the creative potential of children and young people by promoting a collaborative and artistic sense. In its first edition in 2015 the project [BCN OCELLS] had the collaboration of Plom Gallery, Planetta Bea, and the support of SEO/Birdlife.

The artistic initiative consisted in the creation of a mural painting on a 17-meter wall on Sèneca Street in Barcelona, in which 30 "urban artists" between 6 and 17 years old, guided by visual artist Beatriz de Quintana, represented five birds of Barcelona (grey heron, dove, autillo, seagull and parrot) with "water based spraypaint" from Montana Colors. There were also other artistic and informative activities open to younger participants.
